A reminder for carriers to submit their applications without delay as the demand continues to rise for incentives of up to $20K per vehicle and $150K per fleet.

The last intake of the CleanBC Heavy-duty Vehicle Efficiency (HDVE) Program marked a remarkable success. A record $3 million in incentives were distributed to eligible carriers across British Columbia toward fuel efficient equipment, which helped to reduce their operating costs and their carbon footprint.

Due to a high demand for emission-reduction technology, year four of the HDVE Program saw several improvements to its offerings, including increased funding levels, additional qualifying equipment, and higher vehicle thresholds. As the demand for program incentives continues to rise, and because funding is first come first served, we strongly advise carriers to submit their applications without delay.

How to Apply

Applicants must first successfully complete the free pre-requisite CleanBC HDVE Program Course before submitting their application. The half-day course, which is offered by webinar and in-person, teaches participants the benefits of having a fuel management program, and how to incorporate measures to improve fuel economy with an emphasis on B.C. specific data. The course also demonstrates how to develop a baseline of fuel consumption and track progress as part of the company’s program. The next course is on Tues Oct 24 from 1-4pm and Tues Nov 8 from 9am-12pm. Register for the CleanBC HDVE Program Course here.

Year five of the CleanBC HDVE Program will run until August 31, 2024, or until the funds are fully allocated, whichever comes first. For more details on the CleanBC Heavy-duty Vehicle Efficiency Program, including the application form, please click here.
