US to Accept Canadian Carrier Insurance

Savings coming for Canadian carriers! As of August 2, 2010, ICBC will no longer have to pay a US fronting agency to guarantee its policies for Canadian carriers operating in the US.

BCTA initiated the process that resulted in this US regulatory amendment - and it all started with a BCTA member's request.

No Changes to ICBC Trailer Premiums

With input from BCTA, the BC Utilities Commissions has denied an ICBC proposal to standardise trailer basic insurance premiums. BCTA said it would penalize safe carriers with stiff increases - BCUC agreed.
