The British Columbia Trucking Association (BCTA) and its members are deeply saddened by the horrific discovery of the remains of 215 children at the site of the former Kamloops Residential School.

While no measure will undo the tragic events that occurred at this residential school and to Indigenous communities throughout Canada, we offer our support and condolences to those of you affected directly and indirectly by the heart-breaking events. It is unimaginable for any of us to understand what these children's families and all Indigenous communities in Canada have gone through and continue to go through every day.

As our country and our province work through this tragedy, we, at BCTA will continue to prioritize reconciliation by engaging Indigenous people in mutually respectful relationships.
