Container Truck Driver

Canaan Shipping Company is a Canadian-Owned International Freight Forwarding organization and a Container Freight Station. We are currently seeking highly motivated Truck Drivers to work in our growing company. This position is open and immediately available. Job Description • Operate and dive straight or articulate trucks to transport containers from Richmond to all major container terminals, • Loading and unloading of goods, tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, • Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, • Majority of time is spent in the cab of the truck while driving, • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods and driver’s hours.
