But the issue of recreational drug use is not new - substance use, including marijuana, has been a challenge for employers for generations. While many trucking companies, for example, have been addressing potential drug use via US Department of Transportation testing protocols for cross-border work, these requirements will not translate effectively to Canadian workplaces.
