BCTA Scholarships
BCTA offers scholarship opportunities to children of member company owners and employees: the BCTA Motor Carrier Member Scholarship for motor carrier members and the BCTA James W. Tepoorten Memorial Scholarship for associate members. Each scholarship is open to applicants who are graduating from secondary school or have completed one of more previous years of post-secondary education. Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in a full-time program at an accredited Canadian College, University, or Institute of Technology. Students enrolled in any study program may apply; however, for the BCTA James W. Tepoorten Memorial Scholarship, preference is given to students who intend to work in the transportation industry or associated trades.
Each scholarship awards a first prize of $1500 and second prize of $1000.

Industry Promotion
All BCTA members have access to a portable display booth with a "Get Your Career On the Road" theme. Members are only responsible for shipping costs - careers display booth is a useful tool for career fairs, trade shows and other events.

Annual Conference
BCTA's Annual Management Conference and its other business and social events throughout the year are open to all members. These programs provide the opportunity for professional contact and fellowship with industry associates.
Truxpo 2008
BCTA organises and hosts a biennial truck, trailer and equipment exposition which showcases new technology in the trucking industry. Truxpo 2008 will take place October 2 - 4, 2008 at the Tradex Centre in Abbotsford. For more information, click here
